Learn how to find your unique pathway to self-healing from the pain of grief to feeling more peace and purpose in daily life.

Utilize a number of practical techniques and behaviours they can take away and action that are likely to empower them to process their grief more easily.

The aspects covered include: discussion on grief, and the mourning process, what helps and also what creates more difficulty in processing and moving through grief. Understanding what, why and how to begin taking steps to process whatever needs processing.

Firstly, the 5 steps to life beyond loss are set out. Then the grieving and mourning process and key elements are explored. The mourning process does not just hold for those who have experienced the death of a loved one, but also all other major losses.  Although grief is discussed first, it is then set into the framework of self-change and transformation. We explore how change happens. The things people need to look out for, to explore, and to be aware of in any self-change process. Change and taking responsibility for oneself and one’s own transformation is key. We explore some of the drivers of the self-change process, and that it needs to occur on all levels.

Meet Diana Hutchison

Diana Hutchison is an author, counsellor, presenter and coach whose life-long passion for self-development has led her to create a series of books in the self-help genre. Being drawn towards understanding multiple ways and modalities, she sought to create meaning for herself and her life which has meant that her unique holistic approach explores all levels of being: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, leading to a perspective of self-healing which enables the best results for her clients.

She has explored many different modalities and techniques and kept those that have helped her and her clients most. What this ultimately means is that she has distilled and practices the techniques and processes that work best and that will be the most effective to help you in your journey to self-healing too.

Diana Hutchison has a background in psychology, and many years of counselling experience with a diverse range of clients and issues. “I experienced burnout while a psychologist, had a very long break, and later qualified with a Graduate Diploma in Counselling, specialising in grief and loss. I have been in private practice for ten years, running grief and loss support groups over the last 6 years, and am now reaching out to a wider audience with presentations and workshops because I know there is a great need for support in this area. I am a member of the Australian Counselling Association.”

Looking at the world a lot happier and feeling a lot more positive not carrying the heavy load of grief.

The hardest was putting that first word on paper. Have had multiple losses over a relatively short time and two family members suddenly taken 17 years ago, I hadn’t ever grieved properly. Seven Losses was a lot to put on paper. Thank you for all the work and the modules you have put together. It is well set out and covers all the stages of the grief process. It worked for me, and I can now talk about the decreased to family and friends  without crying or carrying what felt like 20kgs of weight on my shoulders. I now feel as though the load has gone. I also have a healthier bond with the deceased, and am more confident and stronger to deal with other siblings trying to bring me down. I have a lot of positive supportive friends that are there for me – I thought I was so alone before. I am now at the end of the module 8, working through it slowly, but I now have a better vision of my future. Also, something very positive happened recently – in the tea room at work a lady, who doesn’t know what I have been working on, said that I looked great, had a glow about me, and looked happier. She said my smile gave it away. Thank you x.
